Not sure what to say?

The last time I saw Mr and Mrs Kulesa was July 22, 2022 at my class reunion at Comstock. Out of all the people attending and all the hellos it was the wonderful surprise to see Henry and Gwen. They even recognize me! The hugs and telling of stories regarding the Soudek´s with Hank and Gwen that will always be the best memories of that class reunion. Joe Soudek was Jose to Mr. Kulesa and held first chair in Band in the early 60´s, he also was the MC for several years for the Comstock Band...

Hank was a terrific teacher and band director. It is great that you shared such great memories of him. WW II is a great legacy to his name. My father served as well, in Germany and the Hurtgen forest. We owe so much to these silent heros. Good by Henry. Rest in peace!

When we first moved into the Quail Meadows neighborhood some 25 years ago, we met "Mr. Hank and Miss Gwen." In fact an early memory is of Mr. Hank carrying this huge, heavy rock he found down the street where new construction was still going on. He placed the rock right by his garage and it has been there every since. We remember him jogging all through the neighborhood, the twinkle in his eye when he talked, and all the fun places he and Gwen traveled to. We remember Mexico was a favorite...

Mr Kulesa was an outstanding band leader. He was a teacher who remembered your name after you had graduated years before. The last time that I remember seeing both Gwen and Henry was when we attendied our all class Comstock Reunion a few years back. Such lovebirds they were. RIP MR KULESA RIP. You were the best.

I´m so sorry for your loss. I cannot imagine a world without Hank and will miss our phone chats. He helped show me the way at Comstock and I will be forever grateful. But does St. Peter know what he´s in for when he opens those gates and lets Hank join that Heavenly band? Love you.

Although my heart is sad for losing Mr K, his presence and the memories lifts my spirits. He made our band into one of the best in our area! The best times at parades, ball games, and even practices because of him. Sympathies to his family and friends. You were one of a kind. Will miss you at future reunions!! RIP kind sir

Dear Gwen, Today and always, may loving memories bring you peace, comfort, and strength. I think of you and Hank, a beautiful couple with open hearts. Hank was a true gentleman in every sense of the world. Many good memories of you both! With deepest sympathy, Rochelle

My dear Mr. Kulesa - the one I give credit to for sharing with me the valuable lesson of being clear about giving instructions. He and I have never forgotten what it meant to "rip up" sheet music. We shared that story over and over again every time we met and laughed the same. I remember adoring him and will carry his spirit with me for the remainder of my life. God Bless your family, Hank and congratulations for a wonderful long-lived life. Hopefully, we will be joined again one day....
