Not sure what to say?

Dr. Lerner was and is my close friend and one of the most decent humans I have ever met in my70 years. He loved and helped all of all faiths including his and mine and my family, a Catholic. I consider him a saint in any faith.
He loved humanity. It did not matter your religion. I can say prounly that I knew and loved him for over 38 years.

When my father became mortally ill, he took care of making sure he was medically well. taken car of.

His great white tailored suits,...

To the Lerner Family:
I have learned Dr. Lerner has passed, and send my deep regrets at your loss. I have many wonderful memories of Dr. Lerner and had often wondered what became of him. He was a superb educator. As one of the radiology residents in the late 80's, we had a lot of exposure to Dr. Lerner's teaching style. He welcomed us to the department in July, 1985 by giving each of us a number af radiology texts, or 'tomes' as he called them, so the books "May facilitate your study...

Dear Toby, Bennett and all of Henry's grandchildren and great grandchildren:

I am deeply saddened to hear about Henry. As you know, we always counted him as a second grandfather to Sunny, and my love for Henry and Helen was profound and based upon our common love of learning, reading, and our mutual affection for each other.

My life has been guided, in part, by Henry's values. His unalterable love for Helen. His absolute dedication to the highest order of professionalism. ...

Dear Toby and family,
My heartfelt sympathy to you all on the passing of your father and grandfather. I have fond memories of sharing Beth David Fine Arts events with you and your parents, Toby. May you find comfort in the wonderful memories of the beautiful and meaningful life he led.
Fondly,
Roberta Shevin

My first meeting with my brother-in-law, Henry, was when he and Helen invited Leon and me in December of 1939 to the preview of "Gone with the Wind." Leon and I had only been going together for a few weeks and - bless their hearts - Helen and Henry treated me like family. I shall miss him.

Hello family,

I am so moved to learn of Uncle Henry's passing. I loved him dearly. I will never forget the many treasured conversations when I was only 12 or 13 and he would talk with me like an adult about life and literature. Once, when I was 11 I think, Uncle Henry and Auntie Helen took me alone as their special guest to dinner in chinatown (I believe this was done for each of the Kruger children). It is one of the happiest memories of my childhood.

My thoughts and love...

I was so honored to know and love Dr. Lerner. The Ansin family was generous enough to welcome me to many family holidays, at which I was able to embrace Dr. Lerner as a surrogate grandfather figure. He was warm and wonderful. A consummate gentleman. And a shining example of a life well lived....

To Toby, Bennett, and the next generations - My thoughts are with you. Uncle Henry will always hold a special place in my heart. He welcomed me into his home when I was a teenager. I'll always remember his cheery greeting when I'd arrive home from school, and the long Sunday afternoon drives to look at the fall foliage.

Love to you all.
Cousin Jo

Dr. Lerner was one of the greatest teachers I have ever had the pleasure to work with. His wisdom and integrity will never be forgotten. First row, first Chair will always be Dr. Lerner's spot.
