Not sure what to say?

Mike,
I address this to you. I enjoyed talking to Hank at the state basketball tournament at the MC. Being a Techman, he had to be a good guy. Just as I haven't seen you in a while, its been a while since I have seen him. But knowing he isn't with us anymore, is just like losing our sports heros one by one--it just means that we have lost a little bit more of ourselves. Would enjoy getting together with you sometime. 816-6319.

We always enjoyed going to Erv and finding Hank in his regular spot, on the first base side up above the concession stand. He always had great stories and would update us on what was happening in the game. Hank was fun umpire and will truly be missed. ~ Christy Merrill and Carol Devencenzi~ PSU Softball Alums.

Was fortunate to know & play softball in Portland years ago with both Hank & Frank. Wonderful experiences and my thoughts and prayers are with the Mako family. God Bless.

It was a privilege from God given to me & my family, to share the joys and the difficulties of Henry for the past 38 months ! His life had a lot of meaning , 'cause he never ceased coaching ...and at the end , he was able to say : " IT IS WELL WITH MY SOUL"! We will miss Coach, Henry Mako. Always- Semida Berghiano & Claudia V.

Sorry to hear of Hanks passing as he was a family friend of the Newell's. He loved sports and I always admired him for his dedication to Portland fastpitch. He spent thousands of hours playing, coaching, managing, and umpiring. He made sure the infield was ready to play on and if it wasn't he jumped in and got it done. Henry, you will be missed!

Knowing & loving Hank was an honor and a blessing. He showed respect and love in so many ways to myself and my two sons. I am greatful for the times we shared and the positive impact he had in my life. Always a place in my heart. CJ Peterson

To one of my most dearest and most cherished friends. You will be missed but will be forever in my heart. Always - Linda McKinney
