Henry Earl Martin Sr.

My thoughts go out to the family of Mr. Martin. He was a wonderful teacher and inspired many.

As an alumnus of Texas State (then Southwest Texas), we will be honoring Mr. Henry Earl Martin, Sr. at the Bobcat Pause Memorial Service and would like to invite your family and friends to be a part of this year's ceremony. Bobcat Pause is held each year to remember the Texas State faculty, staff, students and alumni who have passed away during the preceding year.

I am so sad that Earl will not be with us for more class reunions. I always enjoyed seeing him and Judy so much. Earl and I were the only two in the class of l948 that went on to teach Spanish. I admired his abilities so much. I know Judy will miss him so much.

Earl and Judy truly loved young people, and working with them. They touched our lives. I remember them not only as fine teachers at Rotan High School, but also for the MYF (Methodist Youth Fellowship) classes they taught. I attended MYF--most Sundays--mainly because Earl and Judy were such wonderful people...

Your legacy will live on forever in Rotan. Earl was a very special person.
