Not sure what to say?

To Gail: Hi Gail, it's Carol, your old neighbor who used to live on Hammett St. in Charlotte. I read about the passing of your Dad, and I am very sorry. You had a nice family. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers often.

I have fond memories of my great-grandfather, Henry Mullis, as a child ~ seeing and talking to him at the holidays or any family gatherings. He always had something nice and witty to say, with that signature thin mustache and charming smile spread across his face. He was the only person that I’ve ever known who could recite the alphabet backwards, even up until just a few weeks ago. The Mullis family has lost a special family member, but his spirit will always be remembered.

Henry Mullis is my great-grantfather. He's the last of all my greatgrandparents to pass away. God blessed him with a long life. We'll all miss him very much!!!

I just want to thank God for giving Grandpa a good and a long life. He's always been there, and he was basically alert and able all of his days! I'm going to try to learn the ABC's backwards (like he did) so I can carry on this special talent that he had. I'll always remember him as being "the life of the party" - he definitely enjoyed attention!
Love, Susan :-)

My Condolenses to the family, my thoughts are with you,and take care

I knew Henry Mullis all of my life. I have always celebrated my kinship with him as a first cousin, and so much more. He was a man of superior intellect that enjoyed to the fullest the rich and important things of life in his relationship with family, relatives and friends.
He was a master story teller, stories about the people who grew up close to the soil of Union Co., NC. Much about the history of our grand parrents who I never knew, I owe to Henry's story telling.
I cherish...
