Henry John "Obie" Obergfell

I got to know Mr. Obergfell (Obie) when I was growing up in Linwood. He was a true friend to my father. He was always interested in my travels and where my career as a chef took me. I admired his love of good food, wine, music & how much he was respected. He made such a positive impact in peoples lives. My condolences to Shirley, Chris, Jeff & all of his family & friends.

I moved here in 1982 and was hired at Midlantic Bank. I only have one person to thank for believing in me and seeing my potential. If it wasn't for Mr. Obergfell, yes he said to call him Obie. I couldn't, I had too much respect for him. He was that one person that had the ability to change my whole course in life for me. I had the pleasure of spending moments with him at Shore Gates later when we would meet up again to relive old times. I know I'm not the only one. He was always there for...

I worked with Obie for many years...we laughed a lot and generally had fun. My prayers are with Shirley and the family.
