Dear Pearson Family,

I came to meet Henry or Hank as I used to call him when he lived at the Homestead apartmenets. I was his apartment manager but soon became very friendly with him as he was also my neighbor. He was always ready with conversation and would stop by my office just to talk sports. I loved sitting and chatting with him by the pool or hearing him belt out my name as loudly as he could from his balcony whenever he saw me. Seeing his zest for life and his focus and...

Dear Nigel, Areta and Jessica,

My son Lee Roberts played baseball with Henry at Mira Costa High School. Lee was also privileged to have been friends with Henry and they had even met for one of Henry's "Let's have Lunch" to talk about his (Lee's) baseball career. Today, my son plays baseball for Loyola Marymount University. He also has Henry's initials (HP) on his baseball cap, the one that he wears everytime he steps foot on the baseball field. Lee received papers from a MLB...

Dear Pearson Fmily,
I hired Henry to work in the Libary at WSU and what a wonderful employ he turned out to be! His smile and good humor was infectious. His passion for baseball was obvious as was his love and dedication to the young players he mentored. I will miss Henry. He will not be forgotten by those of us who worked with him in the Library. Take care of each other.

Dear Pearson family:

No one can ever know the grief that you are going through right now over the horrible loss of Henry. While I do not know you I felt I needed to express my heartfelt sympathy to you all. My thought's and prayer's are with you.

Dear Pearson family,
I never saw Henry without a smile on his face. What a wonderful person he was. I have great memories of laughing with him and talking baseball. He was and is so loved. My thoughts, prayers and love are with you all.

Dear Pearson Family,
Our family extends our most sincere sympathy to you upon the loss of your son. We had the privilege of meeting your son through the Wilhite brothers, Mike and Jon, recently. It was a couple weeks ago at our son's Mira Costa Varsity baseball game. We realized what a fine son you have and how proud you must be of him. In just those short two hours in the stands with Henry, we could tell his passion for baseball and his enthusiasm for Life. We will never forget the...

Dear Areta, Nigel and Jessica, I did not know Henry. I do have a son his age and my heart aches for all of you. May God welcome Henry with open arms and a smile.
