Henry Petroski

Long before the age of cell phones, in 1982, when I was a student at Duke Divinity School, my car broke down on the side of I-40 between Hillsborough and Durham. This kind and generous man who had no idea who I was pulled over to help me and waited patiently while I peered toward his car where his family was waiting. I finally accepted his offer of a ride. He went out of his way to take me home. Blessings on all who loved him.
