Not sure what to say?

Enjoyed doing a few business deals with Russ during the late stages of PLM; He was one of the legends in the Railcar business. When I traveled to Chicago from Houston, I'd get the invite to the Glen View Club and would get treated like royalty. My last visit, he told me he wasn't up for playing golf but watched me play 18 from the cart and gave me advice and then became a cheerleader - what a memory. He was one in a million. God's blessing to the family.

I leased railcars for my company in the 1990´s and had the good fortune to know and work with Russ. He taught me a lot about the business. He was a true professional and a wonderful person.

It's hard to believe that a year has passed since I read his obit. Henry and I worked together at PLM for 14 years. We traveled together, eating, drinking, playing golf, and, once in a while, visiting customers. He was a one of a kind guy, and I miss him.

What a guy! Our memories of Russell are of the grand times we shared with Barbara and him. They were a most special and unique pair whose interactions and dry humor bring smiles to our faces. What a history they brought! We remember their hospitality and warmth for guests, especially us. We always felt special in their company. They were always proud to share stories and updates about each of you Alison, Alan, Peter, your spouses and their wonderful grandchildren.
Of course, Tom has...

Those were the first words Russ spoke to me, right after he stepped out of an elevator and walked into the 27th floor lobby of North American Car in Chicago. There I sat, waiting for my final NACC job interview with him. I had to get Russ' nod, NACC's Sr. VP of Sales & Marketing, to earn the sales position I...

Rest In Peace my dear friend. Thanks for all the great memories and the nickname you gave me a as Big Daddy
