Our deepest condolences to the Rittenberg family. You have lost a remarkable father, grandfather, uncle, cousin and the community of Charleston has lost a man who contributed to the life of the city and it's residents in so many lasting and meaningful ways. Dr. Henry delivered me 49 years ago..He was a wonderful Doctor..I saw him until he retired..There are no other Doctors like him.. Back then you were given a shot of penicillin and you were well in a few days..He and Dr. Alvin will never be forgotten. May GOD wrap is everlasting and loving arms around you all and comfort you during this difficult time..He will be greatly missed and never forgotten..

Thank you Rittenberg family for writing this thoughtful obituary with its overview of Dr. Henry Rittenberg's wonderful life. I met Dr. Rittenberg a few years ago at his son Charles's home. I was charmed by his positive, kind personalty and his keen intelligence. I know the world was made a better place by the way he chose to live his life. I'm saddened to learn that he is no longer with us.
