Leslie, You, your Mom, and family are in our thoughts and prayers. We were saddened to hear the news. Please give your Mom a hug from us! I know this is difficult for all of you!

A life well lived....and shared. I will miss him.

Our deepest condolences to the Rittenberg family. You have lost a remarkable father, grandfather, uncle, cousin and the community of Charleston has lost a man who contributed to the life of the city and it's residents in so many lasting and meaningful ways. We are full of sorrow for your loss. We did not have the opportunity to meet Henry personally, but both of us feel that the loving and caring embrace we have received from his family is a strong testament to him, as his children and...

I knew how much Henry meant to Don and me, but I had no idea what he meant to the world. Love and sympathy are with you in the days ahead. Eleanor (Seneca, SC)

Charleston has lost one of the most generous people who ever lived in this community. My thoughts and prayers are with the family during their time of bereavement.

Dr. Henry delivered me 49 years ago..He was a wonderful Doctor..I saw him until he retired..There are no other Doctors like him.. Back then you were given a shot of penicillin and you were well in a few days..He and Dr. Alvin will never be forgotten. May GOD wrap is everlasting and loving arms around you all and comfort you during this difficult time..He will be greatly missed and never forgotten..

Thank you Rittenberg family for writing this thoughtful obituary with its overview of Dr. Henry Rittenberg's wonderful life. I met Dr. Rittenberg a few years ago at his son Charles's home. I was charmed by his positive, kind personalty and his keen intelligence. I know the world was made a better place by the way he chose to live his life. I'm saddened to learn that he is no longer with us.
