Not sure what to say?

I don´t know why I looked for this obituary, but I knew that Dr. Romano would´ve passed away by now. My name is Frank Janas and when I was 3 years old I was diagnosed with wilms tumor of the kidney at an advanced stage. It was missed by many doctors and my mother who has also passed, knew that something was wrong and did not give up . Henry Romano diagnosed me correctly and I am certain saved my life. At three years old my tumor was the size of a grapefruit and was at risk of rupture which...

Lisa, I can't believe it has been 10 years since we gathered in Auburn to say (a temporary) good bye to your dad. He would be so proud of you and your family and the people your kids have grown into. Glad to be traveling this journey with you - your hoochies are at your side in spirit as you reflect on this anniversary. XXOO

I just learned of Dr. Romano's passing, and wanted to extend my belated condolences to his family. Dr. Romano was my pediatrician until my family moved away from Auburn when I was 9 years old. I still have my pediatric medical record book with my vaccinations, check up results etc. along with the doctor's signatures. I will cherish it now all the more because it is my special remembrance of a wonderful man and dedicated, caring doctor.

Dear Friends and Fans of Dr. Romano, my family and I cannot thank you enough for the kind memories you have shared on this guestbook. We certainly feel your love for him and know that he was so special to so many of you. We were fortunate to have his love and great example as a father, husband and friend and will miss him terribly. Your words help lift our spirits and keep his memory ever present. Thank you,

Lisa Romano Moore (his daughter)

Dr. Romano was the doctor that my younger brothers had when we moved to the area. A set of twins was born pre-maturely in 1965 and he was instrumental in their survival.
When I gave birth to my son in 1984, Dr. Romano was the pediatrician I wanted treating my precious gift.
He was always so caring and gentle with him. Such a compassionate and professional man.
The community certainly will feel the void with the loss.

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.

Dr. Romano took care of me for YEARS!!! he was the best of the best!

Our family owes Dr. Romano a great deal. On March 30, 1962, I gave birth to my firstborn, a son, at Auburn Memorial Hospital. The baby was five weeks premature due to my having lobar pneumonia and did not breathe at birth. Efforts to resuscitate him by mechanical means failed and, in the middle of the night Dr. Romano was called in and using mouth-to-mouth resuscitation was able to get him breathing and on his way to a successful life. A gift beyond compare from a wonderful man.
