Not sure what to say?

During my youth, I saw Hank almost every weekend, as we gathered as a family on Sundays with his family, the Norris family,Ann Lineberger Saalfield's family, and the Lineberger family. It was a big gathering for a weekly gathering.
Hank was a kind uncle, and frequently took the time to give me small attentions.

I remember when he and my father gave me a tour of the Saalfield Publishing Company, a large enterprise which left a strong impression on me. On numerous...

Dear Jim, Brec, and Tiz (as I called you). I am so saddened by the death of your father--even more so, I think, because he was my generation of Saalfields. You won't remember me after all these years, but I was married to his brother Jim who was killed in World War II. So his death is a special sadness to me because he was the last of that "wonoderful four" Saalfield children. After his sisters died, Hank remained my special tie to a man and family I loved.

I am sorry to hear of Hank's death. I was a technician at Acme Pharmacy, and got the pleasure of helping Mr. Saalfield on several occasions. He was always friendly, and always polite.

Dear Jim, Elizabeth and Breck:
Like Jan, I want to offer my condolances and support regarding the death of your father and my Uncle Hank. I'll always remember the night at the Portage Country Club when my dad and yours devised the plan to railroad their young sons off to a Montana ranch for a month!
My love to all of you... Pete

Dear Jimmy,Tiz, and Breck: I am so terribly sorry to learn of your father's death. To lose both parents in such a short time must come as a great shock. My thoughts will be with you at the service and during the coming months. Please give me a call if you are out this way as I would so much love to see you. 415 331 6111.

I am so sorry to hear of Hank's death. What an incredible man! I only wish I had the opportunity to know him. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

The last of that Saalfield Generation

Our sympathies to the families of Hank and Ginger. As one of the remaining Saalfields along the eastern seaboard we often thought of and too seldom visited them while in Florida. But what wonderful memories!
We are so thankful to have been able to share in their lives!
God Bless!
