It was pleasure upon joining the Schmidt family to meet and take as my uncle, Hank Schmidt, without any "in-law" being involved. He was one of a kind! The times we spent with him, his wife and his daughter were always special. There isn't much more to add, except that the world was a better place for his being a part of it.

My daughter, Donna, said something I had never thought of before, and that was, Uncle Hank was like your older brother. That is so true, from my earliest memories he was always a part of my life. He will be missed by so many people, and people that our family doesn't have any idea he affected in such a good way! We'll meet again, Heinie!
