Dr. Simon was my pediatrician too and when I returned to NO as an adult with a baby in 1987 I brought my son to him. One of his first questions to me was "do you have a gun in your home?" He told me he never wanted to see one of his patients in the hospital with a gunshot wound. I admired him all the more for asking me that question.

As I light this candle in rememberance of such a beautiful human being. Dr Simon was my Son's Peditrician and he was always such an upbeat, jolly, happy person. Later I came to work with Dr Simon at DDS and he was still such a beautiful upbeat human being. I will forever have fond memories of him. To the Family, although he is gone from sight the wonderful person and the joy he brought to many will forever warm the heart. He will be greatly missed

I was one of many children who was a patient of Dr. Simon for more than 20 years. I've been a type 1 diabetic since May, 1955. When my mother asked him about oral diabetes medications when they first came out instead of insulin injections, Dr. Simon said "If it isn't broken, don'fix it." I was not fighting my mother about the insulin injection each morning by that time. That made so much sense that my mother never seriously discussed oral medications again.

I would like to send my deepest sympathy and condolences to Henry's family. I have fond childhood memories of him as our family pediatrician while growing up in New Orleans and I am sorry to hear of his passing. My thoughts and prayers go out to you at this difficult time.

My dear Henry Simon, my pediatrician, then my children's, later became a personal close friend. I will always remember him with such fondness. What a wonderful sense of humor and joie d vivre!! My deepest condolences to you for your loss. Dr Simon was my pediatrician and is still my favorite doctor ever. He was always very gentle, funny and kind. I can still hear him calling me "tiger" and see his smile.. He will always be remembered by those who's lives he touched. God bless
