Not sure what to say?

Henry had a wicked sense of humor. I remember his VW van the the sticker, When Lutefisk is outlawed, only outlaws with have Lutefisk.

I can never forget Henry and his family. We live next door to them for many years and our daughters were best friends. Henry was just the friendliest happy and creative man I ever knew....There are not many people like him . I regret we had kept in touch more after we moved away..Lesson learned Do not let life get in the way of spending time with great friends, neighbors and family......cheryl.

I´ve never met Santa Claus but from those who have written descriptions of him they could have been describing Henry, both in physical appearance as well as his delightful disposition. Henry loved people and though mischievous at times, there was a twinkle in his eye to let you know that he meant no harm or disrespect. Upon arriving in his presence, it didn´t take long to conclude that this was someone that you would want to have as your friend. During my lifetime journey I have...

You are well missed my friend.

The Sjobloms were neighbors for many years when our daughters were young and best friends. We tried to convince Henry to cut our shared fence and make a gate for the girls who were always going back and forth. Henry was witty, kind, creative and talented. So happy to have known him and his family . Rest In Peace Henry

I am so sorry to hear this news of Henry's passing. I remember him as a wonderful and fun man, accepting of those who was fortunate to know him. My heart felt condolences to Mary Jane, Liisa, Marja, and the rest of his family and friends.

Henry and I were classmates at Astoria High School. He has been a leader in organizing our many class reunions including offering his home as a gathering site on many occasions. His love of people and his strong character made him someone you wanted to be with and also served him well as a teacher and valued friend. He will be sorely missed by me and all those that had the pleasure of knowing him.

I am very sorry to see Mr. Sjoblom had passed. I was a student of his at Jefferson High School, and i graduated in 1965. I thought he was a very good Teacher and he made art very rewarding.

Henry was the big brother of my best friend, Kai. I loved going to Henry's house for his 4th of July and Christmas celebrations. Henry had such a gift for wit, and he always made me feel welcome, even when he enjoyed teasing me. Henry always insisted I jump in the sauna, which was a real treat. His art work was a delight to see. HIs years of dedicated teaching was a testament of his caring and concern for his students. My best wishes to Mary Jane, Marja, and Liisa.
