Read MoreMy condolences to the Smitter family. Henry was one of the first "real Lawyers" with whom I had a chance to interact upon my graduation from UM law school many years ago. He was considerate, knowledgeable and from my first contact with him, was always willing to provide guidance and a good tip or two to a young lawyer. Henry was a credit to the profession and is greatly missed.

I got to know Henry through the highly skilled legal services he provided to the Kent County Conservation League for many years. And being the kind of man he was, he provided those exceptional services pro bono. One of his strengths was analyzing complex issues and then offering his proposed solutions to our members in easy to understand terms. My sincere condolences to his family.
