Not sure what to say?

Roy Thompson was a mentor in my young life and he shares in every victory I've ever had over the devil. He also shares in the thousands I've helped and lead to Christ. I know I'll see you soon and I look forward to rejoicing with you in glory.

Brother Roy was my pastor and I was called to preach under his ministry. When the school opened, I had the privilege to be a janitor and remain under while attending Massillon Baptist College my first year. He was a mans man. He was courageous and taught me to speak my mind and stand for what's right, without fear of the costs. Yet, he was compassionate.

Dear Pastor Thompson: As you and your family know, I came to church as a small child, went to Heritage Christian School, and was saved at a young age, and was baptized by you. You are by far the best pastor I have ever had! I moved away to South Florida at 20 years old but I am so happy I got to see you at the Cleveland Baptist Church reunion. I will always remember you and your love for God, family and church! If it was not for you and God, I would not be half the woman and I am today. I...

Dear Mrs. Thompson and family,
My name is Gloria roberts, I still attend the Cleveland Baptist Church. I first came to church when I was 17. Dr. Thompson planted the seed of salvation in me and I got saved at 27, and came back to church. His preaching was amazing I was in awe of his honesty and compassion. I miss him but I know I will see him again.

Dear Mrs. Thompson and family,
My heart is truly saddened to hear of the passing of Dr. Thompson. I thank God for the life & work of this faithful servant. He will be missed. He touched so many lives with the word of God, his humor, kindness, and generosity. My prayers are with you all at this time.

Pastor Thompson was our pastor during the early years of Cleveland Baptist Church. Although I moved away many years ago, he will always be remembered as my pastor and Cleveland Baptist Church as our home Church. My late husband and all four of my children were saved under his ministry.
My heart felt sympathy to Faith who was such a wonderful wife to him and to his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

I will never forget that blue and yellow bus. Yep, I was one of those snotty nose bus kids. I remember Sandy Dawson and I rushing into the auditorium one Sunday Morning to greet Pastor. We were met by a usher who was showing us the door out. When Pastor came to our rescue. "Those our children of God not those bus kids. Girls come here and give me a hug." I also remember accepting Jesus under his preaching and always having a special place in his heart. To the Thompson family I thank you...

I thank the Lord for the life and ministry of Dr. Roy Thompson. Because of his willingness to follow the Lord's leading to begin the Cleveland Baptist Church, many great preachers were spiritually birthed as a result. One preacher in particular was Dr. Larry Clayton. Dr. Clayton many years ago, while out on soul winning visitation from the Cleveland Baptist Church knocked on the door of a man named Jack. Dr. Clayton lead Jack and his wife Mary Ruth to the Lord. This man Jack would years later...
