Henry was my classmate at St. Stephen's school in Kearny from K through 8th grade.I remember him as a kind, well- mannered boy and very smart.

Dear Hank,
I still have the returned Christmas Card I sent you postmarked December 24, 2014. I called John and he said you weren't well and couldn't be reached at the time. Next thing: today c. 3pm Greg calls, saying he got your death notice from Prep via email. In the state HS tennis tournament, held at Princeton, you and I hit our stride as a doubles team and were undefeated...

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

Such a kind, brilliant man. He was the professor who had the greatest impact on my college experience and helped shape what I wanted to be when I "grew up." Anyone who had the pleasure of learning from him is a better writer and observer of the world because of it. He will be deeply, deeply missed.

My condolences to Professor Wefing's family and the WSU community on your loss.

So sad to hear this news. Professor Wefing was my academic adviser and he really went to bat for me when I needed it the most. I will forever be grateful for that. He was a warm, gentle, and extremely kind man and he will be greatly missed.

I have great memories of Professor Wefing. He was incredibly kind and exceptionally talented. My thoughts and prayers go out to his loved ones.

He was a great professor and he will be missed by all who knew him. I took his communications class in spring 2010 and he did a great job! My thoughts and prayers are with the family!
