I hope this message finds everyone well. I just now stumbled upon your dad's obit and I'm sorry for your loss. I'm no wordsmith, but your dad was a great guy and I always admired him. In 2005, my mom and I traveled to Chicago for a visit and we found Henry in the phone book. He took us to Sally's for lunch and the next day to another restaurant. I should have done a better job keeping in touch, but life happens and you move to kentucky lol. btw I'm Leona's youngest granddaughter, Mary...

Mr. Wojtyla came to us in in 1954 as one of our first male teachers in Addison Elementary School; I was in sixth grade. He came to us seasoned with his academic, athletic and military experience and a passion for teaching; and I remember vividly when he introduced himself to us in class, put his name up on the green board and pronounced his name explaining that the j was silent.

He was a presence and an example to us, especially the boys, and introduced us to active sports...

My I offer my heartfelt condolences to the Wojtyla Family on the passing of Mr.Henry Wojtyla.

I am one of the Addison Elementary School's graduating class of 1956, having had attended there since first grade and having had the privledge of being one of Mr. Wojtyla's students from 6th through 8th grade.

My fond memories of him teaching in the classroom and our several encounters resulting from my mischief are most clear to me even today and have brought to me many smiles and...
