Read MoreI met Henry during out time of service as Ham operators during Hurricane Katrine in 2005. He was a great asset to that Amateur Radio response on behalf of the American Red Cross. He served with me as my Emergency Coordinator for the Virginia Section Virginia of the ARRL. He will be missed by me and all the Hams that knew Henry. Jo, may the Lord comfort you and your family in this time of great loss.

I was a pain in in the butt for him but he taught me how to print and it became my profession until I retired. He is the last of the greatest three generations to ever exist. I had the pleasure of visiting with him back in the fall.

Joe and I fondly remember visits with Henry and Jo while they lived in the Austin area. They enjoyed sharing so many interesting stories of military and family life. In the days and weeks ahead, our prayers are with Jo and the rest of the family. Henry led a full life, and we rejoice in that.
