Not sure what to say?

Dear Family of Herb McGuire,
I was so sorry to hear of "Mr. McGuire's" passing - he was one of my favorite teachers growing up at St. Columbkille School (7th grade) back in the '60's. He was a no-nonsense teacher, but one with a great sense of humor who taught well and always entertained us with interesting stories. I never knew til now where his life developed to, but clearly, it was a beautiful one, as it seems he became not only a family man, but continued to inspire, motivate and...

Gerry, I remember your brother Herb with such fond memories during our summers at Christopher. And Jeannie, I remember when your love first blossomed, and we all knew it was a match "meant to be." Although it has been decades since the "JCs of '68", whenever I would think of camp, Herb's warm smile and dry wit would come to mind. I just heard of his passing yesterday, and I'm so sorry for your loss. My thoughts are with you and your families. His spirit truly will "linger" forever at...

Happy Dad's day Herb!! I love you and miss you so much!!!!!

Jeanne and Family,

Anyone who ever knew Herb, whether very well or just a little, is better for the experience. It seems that there are precious few times in life that you meet a person who can have such a profound effect on everyone whose lives they touch. Herb is one of those people.

Thank you for sharing your husband and father with us. Thank you Herb for your friendship with the Thomas family, and the significant impact that you have had on so many of us. ...

Herb took us to mass on an old schoolbus and on the way home, he would fly over those big hills. We LOVED it! It's one of those memories I'll never forget. Thanks Herb & God Bless to his family! Peggy Schlosser

I'm glad I'm part of a great group at camp chris which was once led by a great man..... Herb

We will forever remember Herb as a true "gentle man." He was an incredibly wonderful leader and will certainly be missed by all the people whose lives he has touched.
God Bless-

My condolences to the family: Herb was a soldier who helped me understand the complexities of war. We did not always see eye to eye and Herb gave me second and third chances under his watch at Camp Christopher. His patience allowed me a chance to remain at a place and with the people I love. The man was courageous and compassionate. A go to guy. At one point, Camp was overrun by hornets and wasps. I will never forget being 30 feet up in a tree with clippers ready at the top of a large...
