Herbert E. Alexander

We send our sincere condolences to the family of Herbert Alexander and to the loving companion of his last years, Roberta Seide.l

Herb and I were friends for over 35 years. We met when I was a law student and he was doing his energetic research for one of his quadrennial books on campaign finance. As our paths intersected over the years when he visited Washington, I was always impressed by the passion he brought to his work.

Although my father was 25 years - and a generation older - they both shared a passion for campaign finance reform, and both wrote books called "Money and/in Politics."
