I remembered him as my dad's good friend. When I was studying at the University of Michigan, he and his wife and son invited me to their home several times. I will always remember their warm hospitality to someone who came from Singapore to study at Michigan and for being my dad's old friend.

My parents, Isabelle and Bill, loved Herb's wit and intelligence. I remember meeting him twice and found you, Lorraine, and he to be such eclectic people and great conversationalists. Our family is saddened he is gone but will remember Herb with fond memories.

Herb was a kind neighbor and gentle soul and will be remembered for his amiable ways. Lorraine, after 74 years, Herb was a friend, confidant, and soul mate and you each were blessed to have shared your lives with one another. Our hearts and prayers go out to you, Lorraine and Herbie for your loss; and, may your fond memories begin to fill the void.
