HERBERT AXELROD

Dr. Axelrod was the most amazing, generous and wonderful man I've ever met. I consider the few times I spent with him to be among the highlights of my life. Our government failed to understand the many times that he gave financially and of his time spent helping others. My heart breaks for Evelyn, his lovely wife of so many years. I shall pray every day for her for it's obvious she will miss him terribly. I think God must have a special place for him. Rest in peace dear man, you have so many...

i knew Herbert when we went together to Cuba in the mid-1990's. A remarkable fellow, raconteur, and friend.

Dear Evelyn, Herb was so much a part of the lives of our parents, Manny and Eileen Mullen - and such a colorful addition to ours, the Mullen kids... My father truly treasured his friendship with Herb.
