Herbert BASIAN

A medical aristocrat. A superb clinician. Socialist Toronto never recognised his star quality.

Dr. Basian was like a Father to me as well as my Doctor, In Dec. of 1971 he saved my arm as well as my life when he grafted a vein from my leg & grafted it to the left artery to left arm. Saw him off n' on over the years talked to him back in 2014 to let him know I was doing well. When I saw this on his web site I cried.. I will miss him R.I.P. Dr. Basian <3

I was privileged to have him as a teacher when I interned at the Doctors Hospital. He was always supportive of us as interns and we looked up to him as a model of professionalism. Thank you Dr. Basian.

I am so very saddened to learn of Dr. Basian's passing. I worked beside him at Dr's. Hospital for many years. Such a beautiful human being and brilliant surgeon. May he rest peacefully in God's care. My deepest condolences to the family during this difficult time.

I have known Dr. Basian since I was 13 years old. He operated on me numerous times and saved my life. I saw him every year and I will miss him dearly. I told my family that he was my angel, and he truly was an angel for me. My condolences to his family.

From Albert Einstein Medical Centre in New York to Working under Mickael Debakey in Houston to Doctors Hospital In Toronto. Brialliant; Brialliant; Brilliant. He was one of the finest Surgeons and Humanitarians I have ever had ever met and had the honour of trainng under. To say he will be sorely missed is an understatement. Dr. Basian was one of the greatest Surgeons this Country has ever produced. Thank you Dr. Basian for your contribution to Life!!
