Herbert Bergman Ph.D.

When I was a young and new faculty member in the Department of American Thought and Language, Herb was a wonderful source of knowledge and kind help. He seemed to know more than anyone and was a model for me of devotion to learning and teaching. I am now retired so my memories of his generosity of spirit are long and and durable. I hope his family and friends find consolation in knowing that he helped many more people than he could remember or knew.
