Uncle Herb was the kindest most decent man I have ever met. One of my favorite memories of him was from a time when we were making a trip across the country and we stopped at a rest area. There was a family who's car had broken down at the rest stop and Herb worked on their car until he got it running for them. He refused the offer of money for his help, but the man insisted that he needed to do something for what Herb had done for them. Looking down at his ever present white Tshirt Herb said...
