Not sure what to say?

I can’t believe it’s been two years since Herb passed away. I still remember our days at the
Senior Center enjoying our History Class. He will always be remembered. Henry Friedlander

Dearest Jen, I am sorry I am so late in learning of your loss. May the joyful memories of your father sustain you through the hardest days. All my love and in the bonds, Angela

Harriet and (grand)children. I just learned of Herb's passing from a mutual acquaintance. My deepest condolences to all of you. I had lunch with Herb about 6 months ago, during which he apprised me of his kidney problems.

I've told many people that I considered my 13-year professional relationship with Herb to have been one of the most successful relationships of my life, although it was by no means all goodness and light. I considered him a mentor of sorts; his calmness and morality...

My deepest sympathies to the Bloom family. After retiring almost a dozen years ago. I attended a history class in San Mateo and sat next to Herb for years. He was the officially time keeper for the class. When he couldn't make it, I he would ask me to stand in. We had a great friendship on Tuesdays for years. Herb and my grandmother were first cousins. Phillip and I have never forgotten how he and Harriet welcomed us so warmly when we moved to the Bay Area as newlyweds 22 years ago. I am forever grateful for the many years Herb put together a newsletter for our family, chronicling the Bloom siblings, their children, grandchildren and great-granchildren. What a legacy to preserve. We will miss his annual photograph new year card as well. May his memory be a blessing to all who knew him.

My deepest sympathies to the family and friends of a wonderful man. Herb had a wonderful sense of humor, thoughtfulness, a sharp wit, and an intellect that made him a joy to be around. I enjoyed talking golf, law, and politics with a Herb on the many occasions that I came across him at Green Hills. I'll never forget his laugh and I'll never forget Herb.

Mark, Karen and Boys,
Sending my deepest condolences to all of you, your mother and siblings. What an outstanding man he was; no wonder you are such a mensch, Mark. During the next Shabbats and Yontiff, may the beautiful memories you all share that will help alleviate your grieving.
Love,
Sandey Fields,
