Dear Charlotte and daughter,

Mr. Bruce was a dear friend. He would be coming on Monday to spray my house and I just checked about the holiday and was told of this tragedy. My heart goes out to both of you. Charlotte I am the lady that gave you some books through Mr. Bruce. I always enjoyed his coming. We would talk about all kinds of things. It was just like an old friend that you had not seen in a while. Mr. Bruce was very personable and you just got to know a lot...

Our prayers go out to you and your daughter I was out in our yard today and I thought about Mr. Bruce and that we would be seeing him on Monday morning and After the yard work We came in the house and the phone rang and on the other end was smeone I knew and she told me about Mr. Bruce's Passing Away I didn't know and my heart droped to thank he was gone me and my husband just meet Mr. Bruce in Jan 2010 this year but right from the start it was like we had known him for years on end he was...

Eddie had a knack for making a person feel better just being with him. The last time I saw him was at lunch in Cullman with a few of his team mates from Hewitt Trussville High. When I was paying my bill, there was a firm pat on my back. I turned and there was that smile, no words, just the knowledge an old friend was wishing me well. That was Eddie. The picture I'm attaching is of Eddie and his football team mates from the HT class of 1959 at our 50 year reunion on July 10, 2009. My...

Mr. Bruce was an amazing man and a great principal. He was my principal at Corner High School and I always admired his boldness as a Christian. I loved how he would bring pastors in to pray over the school! The world needs more people like him. I will definitely be praying for the family.

My brother Scott played for Coach Bruce from 1978 to 1981. As a result of diabetes, he had a kidney tranplant, several eye operations, and the amputation of both legs. I will never forget the day they removed his second leg. I told him that he had come to far to give up; and no matter what, he could not quit. Scott replied "I am one of Coach Bruce's boys; we never give up, and quit is not in our vocabulary."

Almost 20 years later the values instilled in him from the Coach helped...

Eddie was my neighborhood and classmate friend from sixth grade through high school. We liked to roam the woods at night while Eddie's dogs would chase rabbits in circles and run 'possums up trees. We'd talk about stuff...
But Eddie would never let me copy his homework.

We'd play cow pasture football on Sunday afternoons. I'd try to block for Eddie. Or maybe catch a pass.
But Eddie would never let me copy his homework.

His integrity seems to have helped him...

Coach was a great breakfast buddy. He will be missed by all at the round table.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the family during this time.

Charlotte, My prayers and thoughts are with you. Eddie was a great guy in the class of 1959. I know he will be missed by all.

Mr. Bruce was my principal at PGHS for only a year before I graduated. In that short time, I came to think a lot of him. He was a kind man. He will be missed.
