Herbert Hester Burns

It was sad to receive the call from Trevor that his father had passed. Mr Burns was like a father to me. I've know Mr Burns since 2nd grade. Spent alot of time with scouts, camping, horse-back riding and a whole lot of weekends. It was always sad when Sunday came and I could'nt wait to return on Friday to begin my weekend with my buddy Trevor. I'll always remember him (Mr.Burns) exercising, jumping rope and just staying fit. He was very nice to me and I'll never forget his kindness. Mr....

The Mall Walkers will truly miss Herb's smiling face and sense of humor. He was always willing to help out in our projects. He was interested in other people. We will miss his face around our coffee tables. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Dear Lucy,
As I said on the phone, I am very saddened by the death of my dear friend, Herb. I truly will miss him. His suffering is over however. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Herb and I did a great job of mixing meat loaf for the AARP dinners. Elaine and I will both miss him and trust we will continue to have you as a good friend.

Cliffside Block Watch

Mr. Burns will indeed be missed. I have known his son Trevor since high school. He was always patient when we all hung out at the house in high school. And we caused much ruckus! He made me feel like family. But in heaven there is no pain and there is no sadness. So we should rejoice, because Mr. Burns true life is just beginning. Family, keep the faith. The Burns family has suffered the loss of a great man as did their friends. You will be in my prayers and have my deepest sympathy.
