Not sure what to say?

Herbert Butler will live on via the wonderful lands of the Lowcountry that he helped to preserve for succeeding generation. He did so in a gentlemanly manner with grace.

Herb will always live in our hearts and the Oaks will be our gift from God. May you have peace and comfort during this difficult time and forever.
The Forrester and Pindar families

MY condolences to you Herb and to the family .

Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
We are dory for your loss.

So very sorry for us all to lose a dear friend, a real Southern Gentleman, and great companion.
He Is sorely missed.

I also fondly remember our connection with your lovely South Carolina dog (I forget her name) that I played a part in your keeping. I miss you both and am so sad I did not get to give...

Herbert and Sheila welcomed our family into theirs, accepted total strangers without reservation. He was a fine man with many stories, proud, secure in his life and full of love for Sheila. We will miss him and regret for me is not being able to have learned more from him, and not coming to know him better.. Rest in Peace Herbert, knowing you were loved as well.
