I played on a Babe Ruth baseball team in 1961,the Magnolia Villagers,coached by Herb and Don Brotherton.We had the challenge of playing the Queen Anne Cardinals on their home field for the championship and we had to best them twice to win it outright.The had 3-4 players who played college baseball and one who played professionally,but we had a good team too.We won both games to win the title in two thrilling games.50 years later I am moving my mother into a retirement home and I stumble onto...

When I read this I was glad to know about the Chaffey legacy. Susan your father was an amazing man, and loved his homes that he built. They are very beautiful and stunning. And I did not know about the baseball teams and the University stadium. That is so amazing. Love and Hugs.

What can you say about someone who shared so much of their heart with openness and joy? You can say they were special - and they were. You can say they made a difference - and they did. You can say they'll never be forgotten - and they won't. They'll live forever in our memories and most of all, in our hearts. This passage says everything I thought when Jim passed away and I still feel him in my heart. Forever in our hearts.

My first job in the building and real estate business was working for Herb and Don at Wick Homes in 1966. Herb was always a great guy to me, and a "homey" from Grays Harbor to boot. We'll miss him with our lives a little more empty without him.
