Herbert Shank Chase

Herb was the Publisher of Senior Life Magazine when I joined the team. He was like a second father to me. Whenever I had a personal problem, Herb was there, and his knowledge and understanding was astounding. I never had to explain anything to him. What a remarkable intellect! Today, I'm missing him more than ever. Thanks, Herb, for being such a wonderful person. You will be missed indefinitely.

my dad is my UNIVERSE and not having him in the body isn't easy. however, the light next to his bed does turn on every morning and evening! thanks to everyone for all the love and support!

I am very sad to hear about the passing of Herb. He and my father, Alvin Josephy, were very close friends over many years. Herb was an extremely kind, thoughtful and very dear man. I have wonderful memories of tagging along to many of their long and uproarious lunches with their pals at the 21 Club in New York City.
