Not sure what to say?

Dr. Colvin was important in my life and in many others. He allowed me to teach one semester, and that course apparently changed lives! Among others who sat in that course were Rob Sterling, Don Cason, Mark Hayes and others who owe so much to Dr. Colvin. Thank you and Mary ILA for all you did for me!

I am so sorry for your loss. I only met Mr. Colvin a few times, but knowing how special his girls are, I know he must have been very special. Blessings to Carol and Edith and the rest of the family.

My heart is saddened to hear of Dr. Colvin’s passing and my thoughts go out to Mary Ila, Carol, Susan and Edith, all the grandchildren, and family. When I was in Waco, the Colvin’s “adopted” me into their family and I remember so many wonderful meals, holidays celebrated in their home with so much love. Dr. Colvin was a great cook! How happy I was to put my feet under his table….. to join their family was a complete joy. I was transported by his organ music and his compositions of “Sheep...

I was so fortunate to have met the Colvins while dinning with my father at Regent Care last spring. I know that God puts people in our lives for a reason and I so enjoyed hearing him talk about his family and church. My thoughts and prayers are with you Mrs. Colvin and girls. I was blessed to have met him.

With deepest sympathy,

Mrs Covin Im so sorry about mr Covin wen I talk to him he was at peace . This was a pleasure working with him and I will miss you both God Bless You all . And tell Carol and her family thanks for been so nice they are the sweetiest family God Bless you all

Dr. Colvin will be greatly missed by many people. He played the organ at my wedding 37 years ago. RIP in Dr. Colvin..

Dr. Colvin was known to me as a church member, organist without peer, and fellow church staff member. He truly had a kind and generous spirit, and the face that came immediately to mind was a happy, smiling one. May God's blessings be on Mary Ila and the entire 7th & James church family in his passing.

I am greatly saddened to hear of Dr. Colvin's passing. I loved his humor. Lord, let your servant depart in peace.
