Not sure what to say?

Mr Crane . Herb, I still often think and mention you! Blessings, Laurie

Oh, Dearest Pam...my Mom sent me Herb's Obituary. I was saddened to hear the loss of a man who so impacted MY life. I was honored to know him, Doris and YOU, your combined children! Every day I So looked forward to "MR. CRANE" coming into Captain Billy Bang's with his jaunty-world on a string attitude, his debonair joy of life that was epitomized by his sauve bow-tie (which he taught me once how to hand tie...four in one) and grace. I always enjoyed visits with Herb and ' Pameelia ' as he affectionally called her. His sage advice and quick wit are among the many endearing qualities that I admired about Herb. hall and bettie simons.

So sorry to hear about Herb. We had a lot of good times at the WAC.

Thank you for being a wonderful "Popop" to Kristen. She adores you. You are greatly missed by all of us. Julie Jackson

From myself and the "boys" in the mjcc mens locker room, it has been an honor to have had the opportunity to enjoy Herbs company and to be in his presence since he joined us over the past months. We are very grateful.

Herb worked with my dad, Rollin Killoran for many years at Fred Meyer. I met Herb
for lunch several months ago and gave him a recording made by the Oregon Historical Society -- an interview with my dad about Fred Meyer in the early years. Herb told me my dad had been his mentor and I told him he would enjoy listening to the tapes and hearing my father's voice again. I hope he had a chance to do that.

Pam, So sorry for your loss. I will always remember Herb with his bow ties as he always wore them. Sincerely, Stephen Gale
