Not sure what to say?

We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of your father Herb. My father was a friend of your father and he also worked for your father for many, many years. Your parents were wonderful people with a passion for touching the lives of all those they were in contact with. Your mother was a graceful, beautiful woman. Your father was a compassionate, caring soul. You will all be in our thoughts and prayers as you grieve for the loss of your dad.

Your mother worked with my wife at Wesley....your father handled the adoption of 'our baby' (now 23) and our wills.....both were wonderful people and I'm sure you've got lots of wonderful memories of them....God bless their memory, and God bless all of the Dodd family as you grieve...I'm sure your mom is giving your dad an earful right now!!

Dear Ken an Jim
that was how your folks introduced you to me i was helping land planes at the airport at the air field across from beech in the 60s we got as many rides as we could my mother worked with your mom at wesley an had to use your dad as her lawyer an later i had to use him on some things because i rode motorcycles he wanted to no everything there was one time i stopped in to talk he told me that they had been out at las vegas an they were giving away a bike he told your...

Herb did legal work for a savings and loan I worked for clear back in 1960 and off and on until just a few years ago. What a kind person he was and always truly involved in whatever problem you had. I always looked forward to sitting in his office and talking with his other clients who it seemed to me were almost like "Herb's club". He was just one of those truly real and sincere people, I thought with kindness to the core that just shone.

We give thanks and much appreciation for Mr. Dodd, he was a sincere and wonderful customer. May God continue to be with the family, for your loss of Herbert Dodd, one special man!
Many Blessing,

We were saddened when we heard about the passing of Herbert. We always appreciated his concern and support of the Union Rescue Mission. When suffering the loss of a loved one, it is never easy. May God give you strength and peace during this most difficult time.

My prayers are with you Kenny and Jimmy at this time. Your dad was a wonderful man, I have many great memories of him from when we were kids and beyond. I just recently ran across an old photo of Kenny and I standing in front of the plane he flew us to Wheaton in to go to Honey Rock camp when we were kids. Your dad will be missed but we take comfort in knowing he is with his Heavenly Father now.

A good, good man.

The 50-50 Sunday School class will always be grateful for the contributions that Herb made to our class, and to First United Methodist Church. Whether it was a Mission Trip, or a social event, you could always count on a smile and a hug from Herb. His willingness to give of himself is an attribute that we all admired. We will sorely miss Herb – and Alice. They were a great couple and we were honored to be a part of their lives.
