Dear Lea, Christy, and Ruby. Am so sorry to learn of the loss of your father (& grandfather). He was a very special person and you were all fortunate to have him in your lives for so long. Please know that my thoughts are with you all.

My condolences to the Durfee Family. I was saddened to read of the passing of Dr. Durfee. I have fond memories of the "Wizards", during the years I worked at Ho Jo's. Dr. Durfee was a kind and compassionate person. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Family.

My deepest sympathy to Dr. Durfee's friends and family. I had the pleasure of being correspondence secretary to Dr. Durfee when he was President of the North American Obstetrical & Gynecological Society. I worked for Dr. Maeck, but had the added pleasure of working on with Dr. Durfee in this small capacity. He was a wonderful, kind, gracious man and wonderful to work for. He will be missed.

Dear Herb & Lea,
I was sad to see the passing of your father. I worked with him at OB-GYN at the Degoesbriand over thirty years ago. His kindness, generosity, expertise and love of humanity was displayed then and throughout his life. Take comfort in knowing he is now with his beloved wife.

Uncle Herb and his sister Mary Jane Jenkins (my mother) August 13, 2011

I am very sorry to hear of Uncle Herb's passing. The attached picture was taken during a visit with the Durfees, the last time I saw him. My condolences to all the family.

I was saddened to read of Dr. Durfee's passing. He was a kind and gentle man. He delivered my first daughter and the care and consideration he showed was so comforting. His obituary only added brilliance to the gem of the man I remembered by highlighting the many facets of his personality and accomplishments. There are so few people of his stature left in this world. What a loss.

Dear Herb & Lea,

I was so sorry to hear about your father's passing. You have my very deepest sympathy at this time.
