My sincere condolences to all the family. Herb was my best friend and big brother from our earliest days as children in Paterson, in Kearney -- almost my second home for years -- and in New York when he was at NYU and we went to basketball games and around the town. He was the best man at my wedding and saw me, my wife and young daughter off to graduate school in Minneapolis. We lost touch after then though our parents remained close all their lives.
