I only knew Herb through his ham radio interaction with the Western Connecticut Traffic Net. While I never met him personally, I felt a certain kinship with him through our talks on the radio. He seemed like a very genuine person, and I really looked forward to his participation. I will truly miss Herb and am very saddened by his passing.
