Not sure what to say?

Oh Carlton, I did not know. I saw your Dads name shown in NCR magazine Memoriams. I cannot believe I will not see his sweet smiling face this fall and feel like I lost a family member. I know he was not well when he was in class last year - he never complained. He seemed happy to be there. His obit said he passed peacefully at home. That is the way it should be. I will pray for him and keep you and your family in my thoughts. God Bless you. What a loss. Best, Cindy Chandler

Dear Sylvia and Family,
This is Laurel Anne Booth, Piccola King Lewis's granddaughter. My mother and I have tried to find a contact for you all for a number of years. I was searching today to try to find you to tell Sylvia of my mother's death (Marianne Lewis Booth) and found this sad news. My deepest condolences to you all.
Laurel

Mrs. Fisher I have so many wonderful memories of my childhood at church. Mr. Fisher was always so kind and always with that big smile. Please know that your family is in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Mrs. Sylvia, Carlton, and family,
We were saddened to hear of your loss. Please accept our heartfelt condolences and prayers that our Lord will bring comfort and peace in your time of grief. Herbert ran a good race and finished well; while his temporary life is over, his permanent life in the presence of our Lord has just begun
Respectfully,
Thomas and Peggy Fincannon Bowker

Dear Carlton and Family
We're praying that God's peace would comfort your hearts and that joyous memories would lift your souls at this difficult time. In retrospect, please know that GOD has truly used your family to be a blessing to us. As UNCW students, Gio and I spent many days enjoying that student union because it was the college's homely living room/den/game room and it was much needed for some cramming in between classes! Yes, your family has contributed much, and has established...

Dear Carlton & Family, We remember Herbert from Real Estate Community and also nice memories of Herb and his dad working together at Varsity. Seemed in his younger years Herb and Slim were together. Herbert was a pleasant and generous person with a lovely family. Was happy to see him at a restaurant a few months ago. So sorry for your loss.

My Dad and Mr. Fisher were friends for many years. When I attended NHHS in the 60's, I would go to the Varsity for lunch. Mr. Fisher and his Father always had my lunch ready and a special spot reserved for me! Mr. Fisher was a real blessing to this community and all he knew. He will be missed.
