Not sure what to say?

We are so very sorry to hear of your loss. Our prayers are with you, Cyril, and your entire family. Herb was one of the first to welcome us to the neighborhood 13 1/2 years ago. He shared his day lillies with us, along with his wonderful personality and great stories. We will miss him very much.
Love and Blessings,
Rich and Valerie Hellyer

My thoughts are with the Friend family as you cope with the loss of Herb. He was a funny, kind and very interesting man and a great gardener, which is a good measure of a man.
In sympathy-
Nancy Frohan Roche

Dear Friend Family,
I have many fond memories of working with Mr. Friend at the Merra Lee shops. We had great talks for years afterwards. I will miss him. I would like to send you a card, but don't have your address. Please send it to me.

My condolences, Pam Franzen

Dear Robin & Family,
Sorry to hear of the loss of your father. I remember him very well. I may not have lived next door, but I spent many of my childhood weekends over at your most comfortable home. He was a terrific man, a terrific father, and, I'm sure, a terrific grandfather, who, in all capacities, will be sorely missed. With love from

We are so sorry to hear of your loss. Herb was a very interesting and talented man that will be missed by all. We enjoyed getting to know both of you through our neighborhood parties. Herb and you always went out of your way to make us feel welcome. Again we are sorry for your loss and we pray that you find comfort in your time of need.

Dear Pete,

I know how it feels to loose a loved one. Had no clue that your Dad was so cool. He sounds like he was a wonderful person and of course you know he was. How cool is that you had the best Dad ever? I only wish that your Dad had met my Dad............they would have been best friends!

I still miss my Dad to this day and you will also. It's a part of living on and remembering things your Dad told you. Sorry about your loss but everyone has to go through it. Love...

This

world has lost a very good artist

A wonderful friend and an excellent

father.

The next has gained a very great man indeed.

Herb was one

of the kindest and

most interesting men I have ever had the chance to come

across. I am eternally

thankful to have had him in my life as much as I

did. He was truly a second father to my entire family and we will always

feel beyond blessed for...

Herb was one of the greatest, kindest man that we have ever known. He truly cared about his family and those of us who considered him our friend. We will remember Herb every time we look at the drawing that he did of our home in Galena. He will be greatly missed.

To Herbert Friend and Family:

We would like to express our deepest sympathy with the Friend's family great loss.
May you look to a time were there will be no more pain, sorrow or death.

Sincerely
The Alexander's Family
