I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Harper, when he taught at Margil, I was in his class for about a week, and then he told us that he had to choose one student, and transfer her/he to the other class taught by another teacher Mrs. Hodges. D'Ann and Family. I just heard about Herbs' passing. My thoughts and prayers go out to you. The moments we spent together are always in my heart. Herb taught me how to brand a cow and tried to get me to jump in front of a 1 ton charging bull. I branded the cow and jumped back when the bull charged. I always thought highly of Herb, and I will always remember him with love in my heart. Best wishes to you all.

I met Herb & D'Ann many years ago, at the beginning of my real estate career. Herb became a true joy to be around very quickly. I will always remember his smiling face and wonderful laugh. He was a man of great kindness, and he always had time for people. The world is a sadder place now that he is gone. He will remain in my thoughts for years to come. I had the pleasure of attending a company trip with Herb and D'Ann several years ago and that's when I got to know Herb. He was such a funny and sweet man who truly loved his family. I don't recall ever seeing him without his amazing smile. I would look for him if I heard he was in the office in hopes of hearing a new story about the ranch or his grandkids which would always make me laugh. I will miss him very much. He left a mark in my heart that will always be remembered.
