Read MoreI worked with Herb at the Santa Anita Family YMCA on their Board of Directors as well as the Rotary Club of Monrovia. Herb was a true leader. I learned so much form him over the years, he has left a mark that can never be erased.

Herb and I had a running joke. He called my Jyn Cly, using the Australian accent we tried to imitate after the wonderful Rotary GSE experience in the 60's. I saw him last at the cardiologist's office recently. The greeting was the same! My parents and the Hezleps enjoyed a wonderful friendship for years. When Herb got one of the first Lexus models we marveled at its silence. Though my folks are gone I will always have the wonderful memories of our Rotary connection with Herb and Liz.
