Not sure what to say?

I met Joe in 1980 during a visit to Wallace's. When I joined the company in 1988, Joe was then retiring but heartily welcomed me to the company. For years thereafter, he would drop in to visit and accompany us to lunch. A great conversationalist and a true gentleman. One of the unforgettable characters of my college bookstore career. My deepest condolences to his family.

Dear Kathie and family, Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you. If there's anything we can do please let us know.
All our love,
Cindy and Mark Farrant

Joe was my boss at Wallaces' back in 1978-1980 when I managed the Boston University Bookstore. I never met a finer gentlemen and his integrity and love for his family. He will be missed.

Mrs. Houlihan and Family, I (we) were saddened to hear of Mr. Houlihan's passing. He was a great friend to our family. Especially to Mom after Dad passed away. I particularily looked forward to his handshake. Somehow he made me feel special to him.

Dear Betty and family,

We are sad to hear about Cousin Joe and send our sympathy to all your family and friends. Joe was a great cousin and close friend to my dad, Ernie. I have shared a photo Joe in Maysville KY fall 2012 with his cousins Ernie Hillenmeyer and Mary Hillenmeyer Fiore. Also pictured are Betty and Mary, Ernie's wife.

We sent our thoughts and prayers,

Dear Betty & Family,
Unfortunately we are in Naples at this sad time. Joe was a very generous, kind and thoughtful man. He is greatly missed.
Please accept our heartfelt condolences.
