Herbert S. HUNTER M.D.

This wonderful man is man Grandfather. He was a truly kind man and warm person, generous to all in need, and constantly lending a hand to any cause that helped the children. I will always remember the precious times we shared together around the dinner table on Sundays and Holidays. He did have the best jokes and would always give me the tightest hugs when greeting/parting each other. I, Richard L. Johnson, fellow physician and long time friend offer offer my condolences to his children and grandchildren. I have many frond memories of happy times we had together. . He was always a jokester who st times wore bizarre and rediculous neckties,He gladly gave pr bono care to me and my family. I knew Dr. Hunter as a youngster. The last time I saw him was at my father's retirement party in 1987. Yes, Dr. Hunter always made me laugh and feel good about myself--an attribute I've always admired. May he rest in peace now and be with his beloved Lois.

I worked at the Sacramento VA when Dr. Hunter was there. He was always friendly and kind.
We always looked forward to his visits to the pharmacy.
I speak of him often when talking about my old VA days.

I knew Dr. Hunter as a local pharmacist, as a patient and as a friend. Lucky enough to work with him at the VA. He was loved by all who knew him. His patients thought he was tops! He will be missed.

My deepest sympathies to your family in the loss of your talented father. He was my first employer upon arriving in Sacramento from the east in 1961. So hard working but also loved to have fun.
