Not sure what to say?

Ah Herb, I just found out about your passing. I met Herb in 1985 when I was hired at Atlas Sound. After the Parsippany facility closed, we did not keep in touch. I began working for Dialogic in 1991, then Intel, both in Parsippany as well as Puerto Rico. My position at Intel had me traveling quite a bit. In 1999, while at the airport in San Juan, Puerto Rico, I thought I saw him and I called out “Mr. Jaffe”. With a quick turn of his head and that big smile sure enough it was Herb...

Dear Evelyn, Frank, Carole, Kenny and Joannna,
My deepest condolences on the passing of Herb.
May he rest in peace...

I had the great fortune of getting to know Herb through Middle Atlantic. He was always engaging and filled with a positive nature that affected everyone he came in contact with. Often, our conversations strayed from business and he spoke with great pride about his children, grandchildren, and about his experiences in Europe. A wonderful, honorable man who showed his caring to those around him. My condolences to the family.

Dear Carole, Frank, and Family,
We send our sympathy to you in Herb's passing. On those events where we met him, he was always cordial and interesting, very supportive of all the family. He certainly was a respected man in his profession, also. We know you will miss him, and may he rest in peace.

Herb's passing is an incredible loss not only for the industry but for the audio world at large. Herb was unique, someone who was there at the begining and gave back more than anyone could ask. I will miss him greatly . Over the past 25 years I could not have asked for a better mentor, guide, and most of all friend!.

Herb was a true industry icon. I had the great pleasure of handing him the 1997 NSCA Lifetime Achievement award, the highest honor one can earn in our industry. It stands for honesty, integrity, accomplishment and success. Herb embodied all of those qualities and used his knowledge and wisdom to make each of us and our industry better. We will miss him.

Our sincere condolences to the entire Jaffe family.

I am deeply surprised and saddened ref your news of Herb Jaffe's passing. He was my mentor when I started in the rep business back in late 1973 as the rep for Atlas Sound. I learned so much from him that I became one of his go-to people when he was seeking competitive information or launching a new test product.

Even though I don't sell commercial sound products any longer, I still look up at every speaker, paging horn, fire alarm signal because of what he taught me. He was tough, he...

What a wonderful man Herb was... It was a privilege and an enormous pleasure to know him. I will always be grateful for the lessons he'd tought me and the stories he'd shared. It was so nice to be a part of the services today and to hear the beautiful stories his family had to share... His appreciation for life and the little things were not only evident in his personal life, but in his business relationships as well. He was an amazing man, who will be greatly missed- may he rest in peace.
