HERBERT KANTOR Obituary

KANTOR--Herbert Charles, 83, died on February 18, 2014. He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Nancy; his loving children, Patricia (Weldon), Robert (Gail); his adored grandchildren Amanda, Allison, Zachary, Drew, and Emma; his dear sister Marilyn; and his devoted nieces Barbara, Karen, and Lizzy. Preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Dorothy. Herb was a graduate of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and cum laude from Harvard Law School. After serving as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Southern District of New York, Herb co-founded the law firm now known as Kantor Davidoff Mandelker Twoomey Gallanty & Olnick, P.C. where he practiced until his retirement in December 2013. Herb was an avid tennis player, skier and rollerblader. He was a brilliant, loving and kind man who will live in our hearts and thoughts forever. Funeral service Thursday, February 20, 2014, 11:30am at Frank E. Campbell, 1076 Madison Avenue, New York, NY.

Dearest Mrs. Kantor, Patty, Weldon, Amanda,Allison and Bobby,
I will miss the bright smile and warm, calm presence of Mr. Kantor. He always made everyone around him feel so comfortable and even at his last days, he brightened the room with hs big smile. He will be greatly missed. Thank you for giving me the chance to be his caregiver with the rest of the team...

Dear Nancy -

I am so sorry to hear of Herb's passing. You and Herb were such great supporters of ALP and I feel friends to me as well. I remember many pleasant and productive meetings that Herb hosted in his law firm's offices next to Grand Central where we got a lot of work done on Flavors of New York projects.
