Deepest sympathy to the Kleber family on the passing of Dr Kleber. He was chief of the division at NYSPI when I was a post-doc fellow in his NIH traineeship in Addiction Psychiatry. I will remember fondly the friday lectures he gave us. Full of science laced with a big dose of practical reality.

Herb was a brilliant and groundbreaking pioneer in a most critical area of medicine, while also incredibly kind, personable, and generous. I'm so very sorry.

My condolences to the Kleber family on the loss of this remarkable and wonderful man. He was one of a kind. He is gone but the spirit of compassion, kindness and caring for others which so animated his life-that survives. So long as we cherish that spirit, it will always keep his memory green.
