Dr. Herbert Kottler

It was a privilege and a pleasure to know Herb over the years as a member of our extended family. He had a gift for putting people at ease and being able to talk about anything,literally, in the the universe. He was a wonderful listener, and forever curious. His example is one to inspire us all. We miss him but will always hold him close in our hearts.

I was saddened to hear of Herb's passing. He made many contributions to the public interest and national defense. The community will certainly miss his insight and leadership.

I particularly enjoyed being with Herb in Italy while conducting a review of the Cassini Mission.
