Not sure what to say?

This past week especially I've been thinking about all that Herb meant to us and celebrate, as always, his good humor and love of family. My thoughts go out to Denise and Julie and their families as they remember, too. Sister Linda

I loved and admired my brother Herb. He had the softest heart among us and his many kindnesses through the years made my life richer. Our memories of him will keep him alive in our hearts in all the years to come.

My brother was very special to me. Growing up he was my protector, my encourager, my babysitter (much to his chagrin). I will miss our games of Quiddler and Farkle. I love him very much and I will miss him all the time.

Herb was my first cousin, and our families spent many delightful holidays together in the 1950's. They were always punctuated by Herb's superb sense of humor and repartee. I applaud him for his courage and love of family to whom he also provided comic relief at difficult times...God Speed, Herb!

Herb and I were in the same graduating class. We celebrated together. As a pledge, he always gave encouragement to our class.

I had some really good visits with Herb the past few years, especially the day, about a couple of years ago, when Herb gave me a tour of Houston. I will certainly miss Herb. He was a great Beta Brother. God bless all of Herb's family.

Herb was selected as "Best Pledge" for our Fall 1958 Alpha Gamma Gamma pledge class. No wonder. He will be greatly missed.

Herb and I were among the founding brothers of the Delta Gamma Chapter of Beta Theta Pi Fraternity at Wichita State University in 1959. I always enjoyed renewing memories at our Founders Day Reunions every few years. He will be greatly missed by all of his brothers and friends.
